Esperanza Juarez received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Mexican American Sudies from California State University Los Angeles in 2008 and has served as violin section leader for Mariachi "Voz de America" throughout its 17 year existence.
The Conservatory The Mariachi Conservatory began in 2007 with only 15 students and has serviced well over 100 students since. TMC was founded with the sole mission of establishing an academic mariachi music program and educate music students interested in learning the art form of mariachi music. TMC realizes that mariachi music is traditionally taught by rote (by ear) and quickly memorized, although we practice the importance of memorizing music we also find music literacy equally important. Therefore all TMC students are taught to sight read, memorize and learn music by rote.
